It was a glorious day in the Northwest. I drove along the lake and the sky was perfect blue. I was there to pickup Joe and Kay Regan. My goal was to interview Joe for a video biography interview. Joe served as a B-17 belly gunner and his aircraft was shot down over Germany. Joe was captured by the Germans and became a POW of Stalag 7a with thousands of roommates. Joe told some incredible stories about his experiences over there. It was a very emotional time for both of us. Luckily Joe’s beautiful wife Kay was there to calm us down. Joe and Kay have been married 65 years. I feel blessed to have met Kay and Joe. They are most proud of raising five children and then another five foster kids, too. After the war Joe didn’t do much flying but he was able in recent years to fly in a B-17 a couple of times. Sometimes its real hard for Joe to think about those days as a POW. He remembers the hunger, the joy he realized when his POW camp was liberated, and the times he met Patton and Eisenhower. He also remembers the spoon he made out of a tin can, and how he shared that spoon with so many other POWs in the Stalag.

Gordy Graham on Transitions
Gordy Graham stopped by to brainstorm about a new series of Videos he wants to make about the topic of Transitions. I have known Gordy Graham for over 20 years now and he always makes me think about life and change. I took Gordy into our green screen studio and started recording some of his thoughts about transitions. Gordy feels that so many Americans are going through transitions, whether it be transitions from the loss of a job or transitions from divorce or the transition from changing of a career path or the loss of a 401k. We agreed that Gordy was right on about the need for such a video DVD. So we set up a time for Gordy to come into our studio to record his new DVD on Transitions (COMING SOON).

Peter Allen - Morgan Stanley, Close friend of John Myers
Peter Allen
Over fifteen years ago, Peter Allen became good friends with Lou Myers and his father John. They did a lot of outdoors adventures together. When Lou Myers passed away, it was only natural that Peter Allen would become even closer to John Myers. We met Peter Allen at the California Club in downtown Los Angeles. The California Club has tremendous history and it was a big part of John Myers life. He had a lot of friends there. We were there to interview Peter Allen for our new documentary “The Flying Man” about the Life and Times of Johnny Myers. Peter told us some great stories about John Myers and about his great wisdom and positive outlook on life. John Myers had a genuine charisma about him. People always liked John Myers because he was a gentle giant of a man. Someone with humility, with kindness, with a great instinct about people. Peter Allen told us about some of his great trips with John Myers over the years. About John’s love for his dog Gus, and for aviation. Peter was the last person to see John alive. I really appreciate the hospitality and generosity Peter gave to us during our interview.
